About Us

Madison Gabor, Brooke Garlieb, and Barbora McCart are the dynamic trio behind Napa's best-kept dining secret, The Stoop Supper Club. Brooke and Madison became friends over a plate of oysters and Sancerre while attending culinary school in St. Helena, bonding over their shared love for food and drinks. They met Barbora at an all-lamb party (yes, the dinner's theme was lamb), and the three have been hosting dinners in their homes for each other and their friends ever since.

During one such gathering, while enjoying an Apéro on their stoop, they began daydreaming about opening their homes to the public for unique dining experiences. Thus, the concept of Stoop Supper Club was born.

Despite starting as a casual venture, their dinners gained immense popularity. Dinner events tend to sell out within hours of being announced, so snagging a ticket is a coveted opportunity. Interested diners should keep an eye on their Instagram and sign up for the mailing list to secure a seat at their table.

In addition to their successful dinners, the trio introduced the Cookbook Club earlier this year. This free gathering event is open to anyone interested in cooking but unsure of where to start or what recipe to try. Attendees vote for a cookbook, choose a recipe, and bring the dish to share with others at the event. It's a more organized version of a potluck, allowing participants to explore new dishes, connect with fellow food enthusiasts, and expand their culinary horizons.

  • Since becoming Chef de Cuisine of Ashes & Diamonds Winery in 2021, Madison Gabor has revitalized the winery's food program. Collaborating with Ethan Speizer, the duo has emphasized the use of impeccable California produce from local purveyors, bringing a refreshing focus on vegetables to the dining experience. Madison’s Hungarian heritage adds a distinct creative flair to her dishes.

Though originally from Los Angeles, Madison has become a true NorCal native after attending the University of San Francisco for her undergraduate studies and later moving further north to attend the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). The CIA not only introduced her to her close friend Brooke but also to her current fiancé, Mason.

In her leisure time, Madison can often be seen walking her pup Archie around town, relaxing by the pool in Carneros, or dining at Amami Sushi with Mason. She is always on the lookout for new fabrics or plates for her next dinner setting.

  • Brooke Garlieb is an accomplished private chef in Napa Valley. Originally from Arizona, she honed her service skills at Hillstone before deciding to attend the CIA at Greystone in 2017, where she quickly became friends with Madison.

Brooke is a hospitality professional in every sense of the word—kind, charismatic, and incredibly talented. She gained recognition when she won "Shop Something" on the Food Network in July 2023 with her winning dish of lamb. However, if you mention lamb around her, she might become unrecognizable in her enthusiasm.

Brooke often spends her time at the meat counter in Whole Foods, relaxing in the sauna, or with Madison. Living next door to each other, the two friends spend a lot of time together.

  • Originally from Slovakia, Barbora McCart ventured to the United States to work amidst the stunning landscapes of Glacier National Park in Montana. It was there she discovered her passion for cooking, leading her to pursue a career in the Culinary Arts. Her culinary journey took her to various restaurants in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Netherlands eventually landing in Napa Valley.

In Napa, Barbora immersed herself in the vibrant culinary scene, working alongside Michelin-caliber chefs. She has now found her home at Progeny Winery with chef John Gerber, where the culinary duo creates impeccable dishes inspired by their shared love of European cuisine.

Even in her free time, Barbora enjoys cooking with her husband Alex, exploring the narrow roads of Napa on her bicycle, or frequenting the local coffee shop, Naysayer.
